The magazine arrived to us late last week, on my Husband and little boy’s birthday (they share a birthday!) and it seemed a fitting day for such a joyful moment (read the post here). Happy Magazine is my absolute pride and joy (after my two boys, obviously!). My Husband said to me on Friday, three years ago when our little boy was born, we had no idea what lay ahead for us – my diagnosis came five months later – and here we are, our little boy is 3 and we now have Happy Magazine in our lives. Just incredible.

Honour Roll

This issue was made a reality only with the help of all of the following businesses and special people…

Advertisers and sponsors

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our advertisers and sponsors of this issue, this magazine is only possible with their support – please show their businesses some support of your own if you would like to. They’re a fantastic bunch who are all brilliant at what they do:

Our patient and survivor Cover Star, Sarah

We would also like to thank Sarah Ní Riain for being our beautiful and happy cover star this issue and for sharing her experience of the Beacon Hospital’s Fit for Life Programme with us so openly and honestly.

Survivor Contributors

We would also like to thank all of our amazing content contributors in Issue 2 for their uplifting, inspiring and motivating words. This magazine is for patients and survivors and written by patients and survivors too, as well as relevant professionals. It certainly wouldn’t be possible without all the amazing contributions we receive. Special thank you’s to Chris Proby, Natasha Whelehan and Elfreda McGowan.

Professional Advisors/Contributors

Special thanks too to Dr Jenny Westrup, Jennifer Nestor and Sarah Wright in the Beacon Hospital, Aveen Bannon in the Dublin Nutrition Centre, Sadia Badiei of Pick Up Limes, Antonia Tierney in St James’s Hospital, Clare Reed of cbtforcancer.com, Ruth from Yogaru, Valerie of Valerie’s Breast Care, Anne from Roches, Malwina King of Sigmar Recruitment, Niamh Gaffney of Directionality and writer Victoria Lawlor for helping to make this issue a reality.

Distribution Hero!

Also, we simply must say a very special thank you to author and cancer survivor Cathy McCarthy for her super success at growing our subscribed distribution list to a whopping 90 locations nationwide. A Herculean effort to help Happy Magazine reach as many people as possible across the country. How incredible is that? Thank you, Cathy, you are amazing.

And YOU, YOU, YOU!

Thank you too, all of you, for your continued support of Happy Magazine and we hope you love Issue 2!
