A mixed bag of goodies for St Patrick’s Day

I’ve got a few treats for you today, for St Patrick’s Day.

An Ireland wallpaper to take your breath away

The first is this beautiful Ireland wallpaper for your computer desktop, tablet or smartphone from Wallpaper Safari. If you feel in the mood for a beautiful Irish landscape as your calming scene while you work or net surf, please feel free to grab this for yourself at this link. And if you think you know where this is in Ireland, please let me know! Is it Howth? West Cork?

Some lamb inspiration

Perhaps you’re thinking of taking a bit of time out today or tomorrow to make a special family meal? With fresh Irish lamb coming into season, this video of lamb recipes from Gordon Ramsay might inspire you with a few ideas.

I’m going to make a Slow Cooker Lamb Stew for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week by adapting the Slow Braised Stuffed Lamb Breast recipe in this video. I’ll be swapping the lamb breast meat for good quality lamb pieces, skipping the anchovies and olives and using a jar of passata instead of tinned plum tomatoes… Wish me luck!

Now, is there anything better than listening to a bit of good music on a Bank Holiday Weekend?

This is my latest music therapy from American country music singer Dierks Bentley… Smooth, easy listening and oh so romantic.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And of course, the lyrics are below too.

Happy St Patrick’s Day everyone.

Breathe You In – Dierks Bentley
I’ve never been the kind
To bear my heart and soul,
Yeah I’ve always taken pride,
Staying in control.
I told myself,
I’d never fall too deep.
But girl you came along,
And made a liar out of me.
I’m as gone, as I, can be.
I wanna breathe you in,
I wanna be so close,
You can wear my skin,
Like a new set of clothes.
So you can’t even tell,
Where you end and I begin,
I wanna breathe you in.
I wanna breathe you in.
Your silhouette
And moonlight on the wall
As you crawl across the bed,
Beats all I ever saw
The smell of your hair,
Falling on my face.
Those red wine, kisses
Give a buzz with just one taste.
Girl you blow, me, away
I wanna breathe you in,
I wanna be so close,
You can wear my skin,
Like a new set of clothes.
So you can’t even tell,
Where you end and I begin,
I wanna breathe you in.
I wanna breathe you in.
Again, and again, and again.
Until the sun comes up
Mm again, and again, and again,
I can’t get enough.
I can’t get enough.
I wanna breathe you in,
I wanna be so close,
You can wear my skin,
Like a new set of clothes.
So you can’t even tell,
Where you end and I begin,
I wanna breathe you in.
I wanna breathe you in.
I wanna breathe you in.
