Love home improvement shows? Stay Here on Netflix is for you

On Sunday my brother and his fiancé recommended the new Stay Here series on Netflix as something I might enjoy watching.

WELL.

They sure were right – I am hooked!

Stay Here is an American reality television series on Netflix that focuses on home improvements. The show’s first season of 8 episodes was released on Netflix on 17 August 2018. It features Genevieve Gorder, an interior designer, and Peter Lorimer, a real estate broker, transforming homeowners’ short-term rental homes into money-makers across the United States. Episodes include a houseboat in Seattle, Washington, a brownstone in Brooklyn, New York, and a firehouse in Washington, D.C.

Here’s the official trailer…

I’m really enjoying it. I love home improvement shows and this one certainly hits the mark. These are big budget makeovers with mega wow factor once they’re finished. Episodes are only 30 mins (and no ads!) and it’s my new favourite thing.

Here’s a photo of the Seattle houseboat entrance after they transformed it…

And this “social media moment” pergola with hanging relaxation chairs at the Malibu Beach House they transformed…

As well as lots of eye candy in the form of beautiful interiors and exteriors when all the work is done, the presenters give lots of useful tips for viewers at home who might be thinking of letting their own properties too – a nice touch.

I’ve always loved browsing beautiful homes to rent around the world on Airbnb – this show brings to life the behind-the-scenes effort of creating those incredible eye-catching listings.

Would you watch this? I’d love to hear in the comments.
