Back in May I attended WellFest in Kilmainham in Dublin. I still didn’t have a lot of energy after finishing my treatment so I spent a lot of time in the WellMind tent, listening to motivational talks led by Gerry Hussey, a performance psychologist. This is part of one of the talks he did, on the power of the subconscious mind. I listened to it again last night and was reminded just how excellent it is, so thought I would share it again as today’s post, in case you didn’t see it last time.
In this clip Gerry talks about how, as humans, we tend to focus on the things that we can see, or the things that other people can see, rather than things like our minds and our thoughts, which we cannot see. He talks about “dis-ease” or the lack of ease in the body and how this can manifest as illnesses or ailments, your energy and how it has the ability to attract things into your life, how to change your unconscious mind to work for you instead of against you by utilising visualisations and positive affirmations and the importance of investing your time and energy into creating the life you want for yourself. There are some powerful messages in here that I think every one of us can benefit from hearing.
If you enjoy this clip and you’d like to hear more from Gerry, he and his wife Miriam are hosting a unique health and wellbeing event in September called Soul Space. We think it’s going to be an amazing day with the potential to change your life (really!). There are still some tickets remaining, you can find out more here.
