I’ve found a handy little breakfast number for these warmer summer months – Flahavan’s Overnight Oats with Apple & Raspberry.
It’s a combination of oats, apple, raspberries, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds in a convenient mix. There’s no added sugar and it’s really easy to prepare it the night before for a ready-to-go breakfast the next morning.
I like to make mine in a small mason jar which I bought in IKEA some time ago. It’s one of those glass jars with the metal clip lid and rubber seal.
The mix includes a handy scoop measure inside, so all I have to do is scoop out two measures into my mason jar, cover with three measures of either apple juice or milk (I use unsweetened almond milk), give it a stir, clip down the lid and pop it into the fridge.
The next morning then, your overnight oats are ready to be eaten, cool from the fridge. I like to top mine with a peeled and chopped organic apple and a tablespoon of milled linseeds for some omega 3 goodness.
It’s an easy and filling breakfast that will set you up nicely for the day. It also makes a great take-with-you breakfast if you’re in a hurry to get out the house.
Would you give this product a try?
Yes, have always used Flahavan in our house but never the overnight oats .Will give these a whirl . Thanks Holly
You’re so welcome Brid, thanks for reading 🙂
Hi holly , I only tried the overnight oats for the first time two days ago and I cannot wait to buy my own tub. My sister in law made it for me with a little apple juice and it was gorgeous! I’m going to try the almond milk next. Xx
