Irish author Emma Hannigan has just released her updated memoir, All to Live For. A follow-on from her first memoir, Talk to the Headscarf, Emma brings us up to date with her incredible, inspirational fight against cancer. In her words though, it’s not a “misery memoir” but rather a book written with positivity and humour.
If you don’t know Emma yet, she is currently battling cancer for the tenth time. After discovering she had the BRCA1 gene in 2005, Emma had a double mastectomy and both her ovaries removed, only to have cancer strike anyway. However, she turned cancer into the best time of her life by beginning to write and now, twelve years later, she is a best-selling author of eleven women’s fiction titles.
All to Live For is Emma’s story in words which she hopes will resonate with others. It also includes a section at the back with some tips and hints that have helped her along the way – peer-to-peer snippets of advice that might get you through a moment of angst or frustration.
All to Live For is available to buy online or in book shops across Ireland. Easons are currently offering 25% off and free delivery online, click here.
